Despite this, the effort and dedication of some inventors such as the American Charles Fritz managed to revolutionize the industry. It was in 1883 when Fritz presented his recognized invention, and that would serve from then on to embark on the promising path of photovoltaic solar energy . We are talking about the solar cell. So it was the American himself who was the first person who managed to convert solar energy into electricity with the use of the solar cell.

By the year 1904, it was the American Henry Willsie who was able to store the energy generated during the day, to be used at night. Another significant advance for photovoltaics that continued adding efforts for the benefit of its evolution as alternative energy.
Even Albert Einstein himself continued to experiment with photovoltaic solar energy. This allowed him to be awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize thanks to his contributions.
The interest of great scientists increased with the passing of time and with the rapid growth of solar energy. In the 1950s, a group of scientists at Bell Laboratory accidentally discovered the potential of silicon for use in solar technology. It is thanks to this discovery that the development and production of solar cells became considerably cheaper, making this invention economically viable.
Today, we can see the fruits of those efforts. Solar panels installed in homes, buildings, industry and solar plant formations. Today it is very common for us to see these teams, but let us remember that it was a long road with many obstacles that have been overcome. However, the current obstacles are of another type, but let there be no doubt that the outcome of this type of clean and environmentally friendly technology will always be just as successful.
